Marsha Belman Moses recently participated in a Data Privacy Symposium titled, "Creating a Trusted Learning Environment," which was held at Foxwoods Conference Center on December 1, 2016. The program was presented by the Connecticut Education Technology Leaders Association (CTETL), a Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) State Chapter.

Representatives from approximately 90 school districts learned about the issues and legalities surrounding student data privacy and what steps their schools and districts can start taking to ensure they are prepared for the rapidly changing requirements for protecting student data.

The purpose of the State Chapter is to empower all Connecticut K-12 Technology leaders with the goal of increasing leadership capacity through CETL Certification and professional advancement opportunities through CoSN. CTETL is a non-profit membership organization, comprised of educational technology professionals throughout school districts in the state.
