Berchem, Moses & Devlin, P.C. is pleased to announce the opening of its Westport office and the addition of eight new attorneys.

Effective March 1, 2008, the attorneys formerly associated with Wake, See, Dimes, Bryniczka and Bloom have joined Berchem, Moses & Devlin, P.C. resulting in 30 attorneys with offices in Milford and Westport. The new attorneys will enhance our capability in our existing practice areas, specifically including, business services, municipal law and tax and estate planning, and will allow us to better service clients throughout Fairfield County.

Attorney Eugene Cedarbaum will be speaking on the ins and outs of Special Taxing Districts: advantages, formation, governance, etc. The CATIC Seminar titled Private Roads and Special Taxing Districts will be help on April 23, 2008 in Norwalk, CT. Registration is at Noon. The program will end by 2 PM.

April 25, 2008 Attorney Marsha Belman Moses will be a panelist at the Eigth Annual Education Law Conference "Current Topics on Legal Issues in Education Law."  The conference is being sponsored by the University of Bridgeport, School of Education & Human Resources and Phi Delta Kappa International

On May 13, 2008 Attorney Thomas A. Carroll will be a speaker at the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities Drug & Alcohol Testing Regulations Supervisor Training Program in Groton CT.

On April 25, 2008 Attorney Thomas A. Carroll served as the instructor for the Connecticut Public Employee Labor Relations Association's Spring Training Session: "Recent Rulings on Overtime/Compensatory Time in the Public Sector."

Connecticut Association of Boards of Education ("CABE") has recomended to Governor M. Jodi Rell that Attorney Floyd J. Dugas to be reappointed as Management Member of Connecticut Teacher Arbitration Panel.  Congratulations to Floyd.

On Thursday February 22, 2007 Attorney Thomas A. Carroll was a featured speaker at the National Business Institute training seminar "Find it Free and Fast on the Net: Strategies for Legal Research on the Web" which was held at the Omni Hotel in New Haven, CT. 

Attorney Michelle C. Laubin  will be a presenter at the Connecticut Special Education Law seminar being held on February 12, 2007.  Attorney Laubin is the featured speaker on "Establishing the Framework of Special Education Law" and she is co-speaker on "Unraveling the Requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA)".  The seminar is being held at: Clarion Hotel & Suites Hamden, 2260 Whitney Avenue, Hamden , Connecticut, Hotel Phone: 203-288-3831.
